Though the ratings for this on Untappd are rather low – the average is only a 2.8! – I have found myself gravitating towards it on these hotter summer evenings.
Produced by the Peak Organic Brewing Co., this is a wonderful combination of rosé + organic dry cider. Some people have complained on Untappd about a bubblegum-like flavor. By both smell and taste, I do understand what they are getting at, but it does not deter me. I do not feel as if I am drinking an effervescent pint of Bubble Yum by any means. While I can taste that bubblegum note – which is subtle to me – my palate tends to pick up more of a grapey wine flavor…like rosé, lo and behold!
This cider comes in at a 6.9% ABV, so one is certainly enough to hold me over.
I’ll stand by my love of this cider, and welcome anyone else to join me. Haters, pass on by, please.
